ALKYD POLYURETHANE PRIMERS AND FINISHES
They are the products resulting from the chemical reaction of a polyol (resin) and a catalyst (isocyanate). Their main characteristic is that they have excellent physical-chemical properties.
These products have a high resistance to abrasion and tear, great resistance to chemical agents for domestic use, good elasticity and excellent resistance to impact. They can be used in any furniture varnishing process.
With the use of these products you will achieve a very high quality and long lasting finish.
To apply polyurethane paint, three coats must be used:
The first one using sealing paint, also known as primer or pore cover. It is mainly used to correct surface imperfections. It is recommended to sand the pieces before applying primer.
Secondly, apply another coat of primer, to give thickness and quality.
The third and last step requires to apply a layer of lacquer, also called finish, achieving the degree of brightness and protection in a professional process.
IN OUR RANGE OF HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTS, YOU WILL FIND:
- Pigmented Polyurethane Primers
- Transparent Polyurethane Primers
- Matt Pigmented Polyurethane Finishes
- High Gloss Pigmented Polyurethane Finishes
- Matt Transparent Polyurethane Finishes
- High Gloss Transparent Polyurethane Finishes

ACRYLIC POLYURETHANE PRIMERS AND FINISHES
Like all polyurethanes, they are the products resulting from the chemical reaction of a polyol (acrylic resin) and a catalyst (isocyanate) and their main characteristic is that they have excellent physical-chemical properties.
These products have many advantages such as high stability to light, allowing the formulation of non-yellowing products, with extraordinary whiteness, maximum hardness, gloss retention and elasticity, as well as high resistance to abrasion and tear, chemical agents for domestic use, grease, etc. They are ideal for the varnishing – lacquering of high quality furniture, aggressive environments and severe use.
To apply acrylic polyurethane paint, three coats must be used:
The first one using sealing paint, also known as primer or pore cover. It is mainly used to correct surface imperfections. It is recommended to sand the pieces before applying primer.
Secondly, apply another coat of primer, to give thickness and quality.
The third and last step requires to apply a layer of lacquer, also called finish, achieving the degree of brightness and protection in a professional process.

POLYESTER PRIMERS AND FINISHES
These are products which, through the action of specific accelerators and catalysts (peroxides), cross-link to form films of high hardness, with excellent covering power and very low abatement.
They are specifically recommended in processes on closed-pore sheets and lacquering on high quality and design furniture.
With the use of these paints the maximum quality, resistance, performance and durability are achieved.

UV POLYESTER PRIMERS AND FINISHES
The processes with UV drying/curing opened a new door for us in the field of furniture, saving production costs, due to its fast drying and obtaining high quality and hard finishes.
These UV products use photoinitiators, which trigger a chemical reaction with the help of UV lamps, obtaining a fast and uniform drying.
The drying products by means of UV lamps can be water-based or solvent-based, the latter being either acrylic, polyester or mixed..
To apply polyester paint, three coats must be used:
The first one, using UV primer to correct surface imperfections. It is recommended to sand the pieces previously.
Secondly, apply another coat of primer, to increase the coverage and quality.
The third and last step requires to apply a layer of lacquer, also called finish, achieving the degree of gloss and protection for a professional process of great curing speed.
IN OUR RANGE OF HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTS, YOU WILL FIND:
- UV Pigmented Primers
- Transparent UV Primers
- Pigmented UV Finishes

NITROCELLULOSIC PRIMERS AND FINISHES
They are single component products, in which the drying takes place through the evaporation of the solvents.
They have an excellent feel, but low resistance to domestic liquids, so they are not suitable for use in kitchen, bathroom and outdoor furniture.
To apply nitrocellulosic paint, three coats must be used:
The first one using sealing paint, also known as primer or pore cover. It is mainly used to correct surface imperfections. It is recommended to sand the pieces before applying primer.
Secondly, apply another coat of primer, to give thickness and quality.
The third and last step requires to apply a layer of lacquer, also called finish, achieving the degree of brightness and protection in a professional process.
IN OUR RANGE OF HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTS, YOU WILL FIND:
- Transparent Nitro Primers
- Pigmented Nitro Finishes

AQUEOUS PRIMERS AND FINISHES
Water-based products cover various families, from single-component, two-component polyurethane products to those that dry using UV lamps.
Nowadays they can be used in a large number of varnishing or lacquering processes, replacing solvent systems.
The watery products present optimum performance, both in the processes with UV drying and in the varnishing of exteriors.

GLAZERS
Highly concentrated glazing agent, made with pigments of high luminosity and very high resistance to light.
Its formulation is oil free. Intended for indoor and outdoor usage.
APPLICATION
It can be applied by spray, brush, on sanded surfaces or directly on the wood.
Once the glazing agent has been applied to the sanded primer, it must be wiped off within 5 – 30 minutes.
If the application is made directly on untreated wood (normally it requires dilution, in a considerable proportion), the mopping must be done immediately. Staining on wood produces a rustic effect, both on deep-pored woods (Oak, Chestnut, Ash…) and on conifers (Pine, Spruce…)
After mopping and once dry (1-3 hours, depending on the accumulated amount and ambient temperature), the finish is applied.
Should you need to remove the glaze once it is dry, it should be done with scotch, steel wool or fine sandpaper.
SOLVENTS
It is a fundamental element in the use of wood coatings, providing the appropriate viscosity and drying speed to obtain a correct application and final quality.
Dilution with a certain type of solvent allows us to adapt to the temperature and humidity of the ambience in which we apply our paint, as well as the application equipment of your choice.
The cleaning solvents also allow for perfect maintenance of our painting equipment, eliminating paint residues and preparing them for their next use.
